ADJUNCTING (see also after adulting)

Do you wish you could have a side hustle with meaning, fall back in love with your career, have an intentional re-entry after time out of the workforce, or make an intentional downshift from corporate life? You might consider adjuncting. In between the adulting of our twenties and our eventual retirement is a long time to build expertise. Why not share it? Connect with me and I'll teach you how to adjunct.

WHAT I OFFER

For Adjuncts

I know first hand that a work style doesn't always make a neat transition to the classroom. I can help prospective or new adjuncts with everything from establishing a positive learning environment and building a syllabus to learning the difference between corporate and academic jargon. I can share what it takes to lead a full, three-credit course and balance the rest of a busy life.

For Departments

Are you a department or program chair? Do you wish you had time to brief your adjuncts more thoroughly? Help improve the undergraduate academic experience by hosting an online workshop and office hours with me.

There is a larger conversation about adjunct teaching underway in the academic community. My content is not intended to address the current challenges; it's simply an invitation to bring valuable professional experience into the classroom. I believe students benefit when they receive instruction from both career academics and people who have worked hands-on in career fields!
